In accordance with article R211-14 of the Code du Tourisme, brochures and travel contracts proposed
by travel agents to their customers respect the terms and conditions stated in articles 211-5 to 211-
13 of the Code du Tourisme.
The SAS Kawan Group (henceforth known as Kawan Villages), company with a capital of 1 500 000E,
RCS of Chalon sur Saône (registered in Chalon sur Saône): 418 879 643, APE 633 Z, Siret 418 879
643 00027, is holder of the licence d’Etat (State licence) LI 07120000001. Kawan Group has suscribed
to a professional civil liability insurance with AXA Assurances, 8 Rue Rouget de Lisle BP 127, 71305
Montceau les Mines, and has as guarantor the Caisse d’Epargne Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
SPECIFIC TERMS OF SALE
The Kawan Villages reservation team is able to give you any information you require for your booking.
The booking of one of our holidays implies agreeing to the terms and conditions of the travel agents
as well as our specific terms, we cannot be held responsible beyond the obligations of the campsites,
service providers and our professional guarantees.
Kawan Villages has the right to modify the brochure by means of errata.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
In order to help us register your booking, please have the following details ready: dates of your
holiday, number of nights, name of the campsite or region that you are interested in, the type of
accommodation you want, the names, forenames and dates of birth of the participants, options you
have chosen and your mode of payment.

The holidays on offer are usually available subject to confirmation by the campsite you are booking with,
any changes are exceptional and due to circumstances beyond our control. Kawan Villages
reserves 72 hours to confirm your booking by email or telephone.
A payment of 25% of the cost of the holiday (plus booking fees) must be made with the booking. The
remaining amount must be paid at the latest 42 days before the date of departure, as stated in the
payment request.
In the event of a booking less than 42 days before the start of the holiday, complete payment will be
requested on booking.
If payment is not received within the deadlines, the holiday will be cancelled and cancellation fees
stated in the “CANCELLATION” paragraph will apply.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The general information in this brochure and on our website (equipment, activities, local services, etc)
is provided by campsites several months before publishing, They are therefore for information only
and cannot be considered contractual since they can be changed mid-season (for example by
decision of the town council). The campsite guarantees the authenticity of the information and that
it is not misleading or deceitful. Photos are for illustration only and are not contractual. Of course
customers will be warned of any changes, provided we were also informed.
The details of the services and descriptions of accommodation on offer can be viewed on our
website www.kawan-villages.com and can also be given over the phone by phoning our central
reservation office: 0825 740 730 (E0.15/min) from France or +333 59 59 03 59 from outside France.
PRICES
The prices in Euros are available from our reservation team or on our website:
www.kawan-villages.com. The prices and rates will be confirmed by Kawan Villages during booking.
It is up to the customer to check before booking whether he agrees with the price.
For camping pitches, the fixed rate applies to the length of rental for the number of people included
in the rate, per night. It also includes access to leisure and other facilities, unless otherwise stated.
For rented accommodation, the fixed rate applies to length of the rental and to the number of
people stated, as well as normal consumption of water, gas and electricity, parking for one vehicle
and access to leisure and other facilities, unless otherwise stated.
Our prices do not include: booking fees, cancellation insurance (optional), cleaning fees (some
campsites add them to the booking fees), extras (extra people, pets, safe rental, baby kit, etc), paying
activities offered by the campsite and local or tourist tax that must generally be paid on
location, unless stated otherwise when booking. Our prices never include transport and drinks.
Occupation of the accommodation is limited to the number of people stated. A baby or a child
counts as one person.
Any amendment will lead to the application of the measures stated in the “AMENDMENT
CANCELLATION” paragraph.
CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
Booking implies complete agreement of the customer to the terms and conditions and specific terms
of sale.
Booking is complete only when the required advance is received in less than 8 days. The
remaining amount must be paid to Kawan Villages 42 days before the arrival date at the
latest.
Failing this, the customer will be informed of the lateness in writing by or in the name of Kawan
Villages and will be able to pay the remaining amount in less than 7 working days. If the payment is
not made, the contract will be considered cancelled. The amounts already paid will be deducted from
the cancellation fees.
PAYMENT METHODS
The payment can be made:
By bank cheque payable in France, to the account of Kawan Villages.
By bank card Visacard or MasterCard (100% secure payment) with the 16 digit card number, the
expiry date and the Card Security Code.
By money order

INSURANCE
A cancellation insurance and comprehensive insurance with Européenne d’Assurance are optional
and can be subscribed to when booking.
AMENDMENTS
An amendment fee of €27 will be charged for the alteration of a confirmed reservation.
Amendments must be made in writing and will be confirmed in writing by Kawan Villages.
Amendment means a change that does not affect the very essence of the altered booking
(destination, dates, accommodation). We will notify you of any refusal of the amendment and state
the reason for refusal. You will then either keep your initial booking or cancel you holiday. If you
cancel, the conditions stated in the CANCELLATION paragraph will apply. If you do not react to the
refusal, the initial conditions of the booking will apply. Exchanging an already booked holiday for
another destination will be considered a cancellation of the first holiday and conditions stated in the
CANCELLATION paragraph will apply and a new reservation will be made.
CANCELLATION
In the event of a cancellation, the customer must immediately inform the Kawan Villages reservation
team (registered letter advisable).
The following fees will be payable in the event of a cancellation:
More than 42 days before the start of the holiday 25%
From 42 days (inclusive) to 29 days (inclusive) 50%
From 28 days (inclusive) to 8 days (inclusive) 75%
Less than 8 days 100%
Booking fees and cancellation insurance fees will never be reimbursed.
Whatever your reason for cancelling, the fees cannot be reduced as service providers cannot suffer
the consequences of customers’ circumstances. Interruptions or shortenings of the holiday or any
service not used due to the customer and for any reason cannot lead to reimbursement.
WELCOMING AND CONDITIONS OF STAY
Once the payment of your booking has been received, you will be sent (by email or post) a voucher
which sums up and confirms your booking and which will have to be presented to the campsite on
arrival. Usually arrivals take place from 4.00 pm for rentals (3.00 pm for camping pitches) and
departures take place before 10.00 am for rentals (12.00 for camping pitches). Outside of these times,
you are advised to inform the campsite of your approximate arrival time. Any additional costs
incurred because of a late arrival will be charged to the customer. If the campsite does not hear from
you for 24 hours it will be able to make use of your accommodation or camping pitch as it sees fit,
without any possible reimbursement.
It is up to the customer to respect the rules and regulations that apply in the campsite. Not respecting
the rules will result in expelling from the campsite and no compensation or reimbursement will be
owed. Objects and personal belongings of the customer are their own responsibility. You are
requested to purchase insurance against risks associated with the occupation of the camping pitch or the
rented accommodation in cases of theft, loss or any other damage that could occur during your stay.
In the event of force majeure or acts of God, neither Kawan Villages nor the campsite can be held
responsible for the nuisances that may disturb your stay (drought, flooding, water, gas and power
cuts, strikes, works, etc…). By works we usually mean the building of roads, buildings, etc. taking
place around where you are staying. Kawan Villages and the campsites cannot be held responsible
for the actions of third parties with whom they do not have a contract. Customers will be informed
of possible nuisances on provided we are also informed.
CUSTOMER SERVICES COMPLAINTS
In the event of a service provider failing to fulfil obligations we commit to doing all we can to offer other
solutions to save your holiday, including finding new accommodation in the same category. If there is
no possible replacement solution you will be reimbursed of the amount paid, without exceeding it.
In conformity with article 5 paragraph 4 of the European directive on package holidays, “the consumer
must communicate any failure in the performance of a contract which he perceives on the spot at
the earliest opportunity”, in order to find a solution that will avoid inconvenience to you for the
duration of your stay.
Any comments on a holiday must be made in writing (registered letter advisable) to Kawan Villages,
Service Relations Clients, 16 route de Louhans, F-71 330 Simard, within 4 weeks maximum after the
end of the stay. The letter must include documentary evidence and any certificates. An
acknowledgement of receipt will be sent when complaints are received and will be dealt with as soon
as possible after being investigated by us.

APPLICABLE LAW - DISPUTES
The parties agree that this contract is subject to French law. In the event of any dispute, the Chalon sur-Saône district court has sole jurisdiction.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
In accordance with the French data protection act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access
and correct data concerning you. To do this, you just need to send us a request in an email or in writing to us at: Holiday Cheque/Kawan, Château de Simard, 71330 Simard, France.

CAMPING CHEQUE - GENERAL SALES CONDITIONS
NB: Residents of the United Kingdom must also refer to the General Sales Conditions (Fair Trading Terms) from the agent in the United Kingdom. For persons other than those residing in the United Kingdom, please contact your local agency if necessary for the sales conditions that are applied in your particular case.
1. The Camping Cheque
1.1 The Camping Cheque is valid one night for 2 persons on a standard pitch (car + caravan or tent, or motor home) + electric hook-up + 1 domestic animal
(if allowed on-site) on the network campsites, and during precise dates.
1.2 The Camping Cheque is a non-transferable exchange coupon, for the exclusive use of the customer having purchased the cheques from an authorised
agent. The Camping Cheque is nominative and may not be used by other campers on the network campsites. Thus, the campsite may refuse the Camping
Cheques if this simple rule is not respected.
1.3 The customer is committed to respect the internal rules and regulations of the campsite, displayed at the reception. In case of non-respect of the above,
the campsite is authorised to proceed with the eviction of the customer, without refunding the booked stay.
1.4 The Tourist Tax
The tourist tax must be paid directly at the campsite. The amount of this tax perceived by the community is variable; it may be on a daily basis, per person
or a fixed amount (or any combination of the above).
2. Loss/ Theft
The Camping Cheque is non-exchangeable and non-refundable in case of loss or theft. In this case, only your personal insurance coverage (if you have this
option) may reimburse your lost or stolen cheques. Please be informed before departure if you have this type of coverage. As soon as you have discovered
the incident, please head for the nearest police station in order to fill out a loss or theft report, insisting on a copy of the document for your insurance provider.
3. Camping Cheque Exchange and Reimbursement Procedure
The Camping Cheque is valid 2 calendar years, clearly indicated on each cheque. Every exchange or reimbursement request must be sent by registered letter
to the following address:

3.1 Reimbursement
Invalid or non-used Camping Cheques may not be reimbursed, with the exception of the following two conditions: death of the Camping Cheque holder, or
his/her spouse (Camping Cheques must be returned to the above-mentioned address by registered letter, with a copy of the death certificate); or in case of
disability of the Camping Cheque holder, or his/her spouse (Camping Cheques must be returned to the above-mentioned address by registered letter, with a
copy of the medical certificate). Administrative costs equalling the current value of 2 Camping Cheques shall be withheld.
3.2 Exchange
Invalid or non-used Camping Cheques may be exchanged according to the following terms and conditions:
• Camping Cheques that have expired 31 December 2007 may be exchanged within a delay of 2 months; that is, until 29 February 2008. After this delay, the
Camping Cheques may no longer be exchanged.
• In case of an increase in the price of the Camping Cheque, you must settle the difference (between the value of the new Camping Cheque and the exchanged
Camping Cheque).
• Administrative costs: in order to simplify this procedure, we shall withhold one Camping Cheque at a value of 14 from the total number of cheques to be
exchanged.
• Gold Card holders are exempt from paying the above-mentioned sums.
In case of a problem whilst on a network campsite during your Camping Cheque or Holiday Cheque stay
Please contact the Camping Cheque / Holiday Cheque European Headquarters as quickly as possible, from the campsite concerned, in order to explain the
situation.
Without respecting this simple rule, complaints may not be treated. We will take the necessary measures by contacting the campsite, in order to
solve the situation in the best way possible.

In addition, modifications may intervene between the publication of the present website and the moment you are prepared to book. Possible changes, or errata,
will be communicated to you be our services. All information relating to your stay must be confirmed by our services at the moment of booking.
