As we travel north into Alsace, on the winr route we encounter a marked change of scenery. Here you are reminded more of the universe of fairy tales than the ravages of war. The regions of Alsace, Lorraine, Champagne and the Ardennes are particularly popular at the end of the year, when Christmas markets line the streets and decorations fill the towns.
