ARDèCHE & DRôME - FRANCE
The Ardeche region, with its long meandering river and impressive gorges cut into the limestone plateau, is particularly well suited for canoeing and kayaking, or a walking holiday. Do not leave without visiting Ardeche's 'underground' world. Natural masterpieces, such as the Chauvet and Choranche caves, are in abundance and are popular tourist sites.
The Drôme also benefits from the backdrop of the Vercors Mountains yet profits from the milder climate of the Rhone Valley.
