The Ardeche region, with its long meandering river and impressive gorges cut into the limestone plateau, is particularly well suited for canoeing and kayaking, or a walking holiday. Do not leave without visiting Ardeche's 'underground' world. Natural masterpieces, such as the Chauvet and Choranche caves, are in abundance and are popular tourist sites.

The Massif Central is a vast hilly region shaped by sleeping volcanoes. Nestling in the green valleys are sparkling lakes, providing an ideal base for water sport lovers. Together these two landscapes form a gloriously refreshing picture.
