Kawan Nature

At Kawan campsites, nature is everywhere and both members of staff and holidaymakers are keen to protect it for the greater enjoyment of all. From the simplest of ecological measures to the initiative labelled "green key", all Kawan sites act with the environment and sustainable development in mind.

Water collectors to water the plants, regulators for intelligent water consumption in sanitary facilities, solar panels, waste sorting, ecological cleaning products, low-energy light bulbs... there’s no lack of green ideas! Some campsites have made even more original commitments: mini herb gardens to liven up campers’ meals, a selection of mobile homes with inbuilt eco-friendly features, and many more besides.

A very natural, very Kawan spirit that everyone can be inspired by! Both young and old alike are shown how they can spend their holidays in complete harmony with the environment. By the nesting boxes, at the river’s edge or in the shade of a tree, numerous events are organised to make children aware of the preservation of fauna and flora.

Campers like to be in contact with nature.

They respect it, and it makes them feel good! When they leave, they feel completely recharged and invigorated. Each Kawan Village has its own ideas about contributing to sustainable development, and holidaymakers are particularly aware of this issue… which is always very encouraging! This year, I organised a plastic bottle top collection to help finance the training of dogs for the disabled. This initiative recycles plastic at the same time as making life easier for disabled persons. The children are happy to hand over their little bottle tops, contributing to the dynamic of the campsite. It’s a win-win situation!
