France
A gastronomic tradition of World Heritage status!

Although often represented by a baguette and croissants, France cannot be defined by just a few such delicacies. Every region has its own recipes. Sauerkraut in Alsace, seafood in Brittany, cassoulet and foie gras in the Southwest, aïoli in the Southeast… the list of specialities is as long as it is mouth-watering! No wonder that its gastronomy has World Heritage status!

Spain
The culinary arts and the festival tradition based around tapas

Nothing evokes an image of Spain more clearly than the sunny terrace of a tapas bar! The Spanish chat and savour these delicious appetisers while sipping a glass of wine. Stuffed mussels, aubergine fritters, grilled prawns, dishes based on chick peas, eggs, or rice… Iberian cuisine is a festival of flavours.

Italy
Good food is in the genes!

Colourful and fragrant, Italian cooking is incredibly varied. Polenta, risotto, pasta, pizza: just some of the dishes that by their name alone make the mouth water! In Italy, amongst family or friends, mealtimes are sacred. The succession of different dishes is a time-honoured tradition: from the antipasti to the sweet, you will delight in the local produce.

The Netherlands
Simple tastes

Natural and copious, Dutch cuisine mainly draws its inspiration from seafood. Amongst which there are maatjes, fresh herrings eaten raw. Vegetables take pride of place in soups and stews. And although the Dutch have turned cheese into their speciality, notably Gouda famous the world over, they also appreciate sweets such as the traditional poffertjes, small pancakes served with sugar or butter. A culinary delight!
