Article 1 GENERAL INFORMATION

Article 2 PRICING & SERVICES
The price of holidays is in Euros, value added tax included. The information herewith is an extract of the program at the time of print. To consult the whole program and the special offers see the website www.kawan-villages.com
The rates for the camping pitches are for 2 people per pitch per night + electricity. The rates for the accommodation are for the number of nights stipulated and the number of people included in the details. Except if otherwise stated, water, gas, electricity, parking for one vehicle, access to the reception, entertainment and sanitation facilities are included in these rates. The accommodation is fully equipped. For further details about their equipment, the arrival and departure times or the payment of the deposit please refer to the individual campsite descriptions and the accommodation section at www.kawan-villages.com
Our prices do not include : tourist tax, deposit, activities incuring a supplement proposed by the campsite, extra people, pets, hire of linen, bicycles, safety deposit boxes, babypacks, etc These extra services must be paid direct to the campsite.
Our prices do not, in any case, include transport costs or food and beverage.
Article 3 PITCH OR ACCOMMODATION REQUESTS
Availability can be consulted on internet : www.kawan-villages.com or by phone on 0825 740 730 from within France (0.15€/ min tax inc.) or 00 333 59 59 03 59 from outside France
The holidays on offer are, in principal, available but are subject to verification with the site concerned by our reservation staff (any change being exceptional and beyond our control). Within 72 hours Kawan Villages will reply to your request, by e-mail or telephone.
Article 4 METHODS OF RESERVATION
A reservation can be made by 3 different methods
Online via the website www.kawan-villages.com with your credit card number (Visa/Mastercard)
By telephone : call 0825 740 730 from inside France (0.15 €/ min tax inc.) or 00 333 59 59 03 59 from outside France.
At our office : Château de Simard, 71330 Simard, France. Open Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm and on Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Article 5 RESERVATION CONFIRMATION
The client accepts the present booking conditions in their totality in confirming a booking request.
The details registered by www.kawan-villages.com represent the proof of the transaction made between Kawan Villages and their client.
The confirmation of the reservation request confirms the availability of the chosen holiday and of the client’s knowledge and acceptance of the booking conditions.
Article 6 HOLIDAY PAYMENT
For reservations made 30 days or more before the start of the holiday
You have the possibility of paying in two installments. The first payment being of 25% of the cost of the hoiday plus 10€ reservation fee plus cancellation insurance (if requested).
The balance is payable, at the latest, 30 days before the start of the holiday. Any holiday not paid for in full by this date will be considered as cancelled and will be subject to the cancellation conditions.
For reservations made less than 30 days before the start of the holiday
In the case of a reservation of a pitch or rented accommodation made less than 30 days before the the holiday the total amount is payable.
Article 7 METHODS OF PAYMENT
The client can pay for the holiday by credit card, either Visa or Mastercard, by telephone or on our website due to the secured payment system.
The client will immediately receive a confirmation of the holiday booking by e-mail, assuming a correct e-mail address has been given.
Online payment is 100% secured. The information on your credit card (the 16 figure number on the card, the 4 figure expiry date, the last 3 digits of the code on the back of the card) will not be openly accessible on internet but will remain protected and coded.
Other means of payment
Payment is accepted by cheque (payable in France) up until 30 days before the start of the holiday, bank transfer, or postal order.

However these means of payment are not available for holidays booked on-line via the website. In this case payment by credit card is the sole possibility.

The reservation only becomes firm when the total amount has been paid.
Article 8 EXCHANGE VOUCHER
As soon the final balance has been received, the exchange voucher will be sent to the client by post, which acts as final confirmation and states all the holiday details.
It is imperative that the exchange voucher is presented to the campsite reception on arrival. In the event that the reservation is made just before the start of the holiday (departure less than 72 hours after booking, postal strike etc) we advise the client to use the exchange voucher received by e-mail. Whatever the case, the information received by the campsite before your arrival will over rule the details on your e-mail.
Article 9 CANCELLATION and AMMENDMENT
It is imperative that any ammendment request or cancellation is communicated by recorded delivery. The periods mentioned below come into effect as of the date the registered letter is received by Kawan Villages office. Cancellation or ammendment of the holiday will entail the following charges :
less than 8 days before the start of the holiday: 100% of the total amount + booking fee
8 to 14 days before the start of the holiday : 75% of the total amount+ booking fee
15 to 30 days before the start of the holiday : 50% of the total amount + booking fee
more than 30 days before the start of the holiday : 25% of total amount + booking fee
Article 10 CANCELLATION and COMPREHENSIVE HOLIDAY INSURANCE
Kawan Villages proposes a cancellation insurance and a comprehensive holiday insurance, as an option, with ‘Européenne d’Assurance’.

Article 11 LATE ARRIVAL and EARLY DEPARTURE
No refund will be made if the client arrives later or departs earlier than the dates stated on the exchange voucher.
Article 12 NO SHOW ON SITE
The site will keep the accommodation/pitch reserved by the client for up to 24 hours after the contracted arrival date. If the client has not informed the site of his delayed arrival the site reserves the right to relet the accommodation. This will be treated as a cancellation and the normal cancellation conditions will apply.
Article 13 RESPONSABILITY and GUARANTEE
We select our campsites with care in order to ensure that the client is satisfied with his holiday. The sites are privately run and have a minimum rating of 3 stars (in France).
Kawan Villages takes the necessary precautions to avoid any over booking. However, despite this, if your pitch or rented accommodation is unavailable on arrival, then the service provider, the campsite, will be held responsable.
In no case will Kawan Villages be held responsable for refunding more than the sum paid for the holiday.
The information concerning the sites inputed on internet by Kawan Villages is based purely on information and documents provided by the sites themselves. Each campsite ensures it owns the user rights on all the documents provided. The site guarentees the authenticity of the information provided and that it’s character is neither misleading or deceptive. The campsite ensures that the use of documents provided is legally permitted on internet.
The photographs illustrating the campsites and rented accommodation, backing up the text, do not enter the same contract.
Article 14 CONDITIONS of STAY
The client is responsable for respecting the campsite rules . Anybody not respecting these rules, and as a result are asked to leave the site, is under no circumstances subject to a refund or any payment for damages.
The arrival and departure times are layed down by each campsite to allow a reasonable time for the cleaning and preparation of rented accommodation. As a rule arrivals are from 4pm onwards and departures are before 10am (for pitches: arrivals from 3pm onwards and departures before 12am).
It is the client’s responsability to ensure that himself and his personal effects are insured during his stay in rented accommodation. Under no circumstances can Kawan Villages be held responsable in case of loss, theft, injury or damage involving the clients or their belongings during their holiday.
Article 15 CUSTOMER SERVICES

Article 16 Enforced Law – Litigations
Both parties agree that the reservation contract is under French law. Litigation will be settled in the Law Court of Commerce of Châlon-sur-Sâone.
Article 17 Personal Information Act
According to the ‘Information and Liberty Act’ of 6th January 1978, the client has the right to access information that concerns himself. The client needs to make a written request to Kawan Villages via contact@kawan-villages.com or to our postal address at : Kawan Villages, Château de Simard, 71330 Simard, France.
Article 18 Events Beyond our Control
Kawan Villages reserves the right to cancel the reserved holiday in case of an unpredictable event arising and resulting in conditions where the client is unable to stay on the reserved site. In this case the client would receive a total refund of the sum paid. Kawan Villages will not be held responsable in any way for this event and will pay no supplementary charges for damages.
HOLIDAY CHEQUE - GENERAL SALES CONDITIONS
NB: Residents of the United Kingdom must also refer to the General Sales Conditions (Fair Trading Terms) from the agent in the United Kingdom. For persons other than those residing in the United Kingdom, please contact your local agency if necessary for the sales conditions that are applied in your particular case.
1. The Holiday Cheque all-inclusive Price
1.1 The Holiday Cheque includes: the rental accommodation (in low or mid season) in a mobile home or chalet selected by 3 Seasons Elite; up to 5 persons
(children and babies included); the bed linen (sheets - disposable or cloth, pillows and blankets for the entire length of stay); water, gas and electricity.
1.2 The Holiday Cheque does not include: the tourist tax; baby kit (cot, high chair, etc.) kit hire; barbecue; the charge for a domestic animal; the cleaning of
the accommodation; the bath linen; the administrative costs; the cancellation insurance.
1.3 On arrival you must present your Holiday Cheque at the reception; this is your booking confirmation. The campsite will retain the detachable stub as
proof-of-stay.
2. The Stay
2.1 Arrival / Departure:
• In the low season: the days of arrival and departure may be chosen freely (any day of the week). The stay must be booked for a minimum of three
consecutive nights on the same campsite.
• In the mid season: the minimum stay is one week. The arrival and departure days are fixed (Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday).
In the low season, as well as the mid season, the arrival time is between 15.00 and 19.00 (obligatory). If, for whatever reason, you are unable to arrive
between these times, you must contact the campsite reception. The address and telephone details are indicated on your booking confirmation.
Your departure must take place before 10.00 (except by special permission granted by the campsite). In case of late departure, you may be charged an
additional night, at the rate in force.
In case of failure to arrive on the campsite on the expected date (no-show),the stay will automatically be cancelled; please consult paragraph Booking
Cancellation of the present Holiday Cheque General Sales Conditions.
2.2 The Tourist Tax
The tourist tax must be paid directly at the campsite. The amount of this tax perceived by the community is variable; it may be on a daily basis, per person
or a fixed amount (or any combination of the above).
2.3 The Deposit
This is a fixed amount, variable depending on the campsites, returned after inventory inspection, as well as inspection of the state of the accommodation and
its furnishings. If the rental accommodation is not left in the same clean and tidy condition, or if the inventory items are missing or broken, the campsite
reserves the right to request partial or the full amount of the deposit.
2.4 The Inventory
An inventory list is displayed in your accommodation.
2.5 Theft / Loss / Damage
Holiday Cheque customers must be insured against the risks inherent in occupying a rental accommodation. We may not, in any case, be held responsible for
the loss or theft of personal objects, bodily injury or damages that may arise to the holiday-makers or their possessions during their stay.
2.7 Internal Rules and Regulations of the Campsites
The customer is committed to abide by the internal rules and regulations of the campsite, displayed at the reception. In case of non-respect
of these regulations, the campsite may proceed to evict the guest from the site’s grounds, without refunding the booked stay.
3. Payment of your Holiday Cheque stay
For the payment conditions of your Holiday Cheque stay, please contact your local Holiday Cheque agency.
4. Modifications of the Booking
4.1 Before the beginning of your stay
• Suppression of nights, or a change in dates (maintaining the same length of stay) on the same campsite: your booking may be modified with our
permission only, and in accordance with the site’s availabilities; a supplement of 15 (administrative costs) will be charged. You shall receive a new booking
confirmation, indicating this supplement.
• Additional nights added: your booking may be modified exclusively with our permission, and in accordance with the site’s availabilities. You may not
benefit from the proposed Special Offers, such as 7=6 and 14=11. You will receive a new booking confirmation indicating the new dates.
• Change of destination: this scenario requires the cancellation of your stay; in turn, you must make a new booking. Please consult paragraph 5/ Booking Cancellation.
4.2 During your Stay
• Extension of the Stay: in order to find out the campsite’s availabilities, please telephone us. If an extension is possible, we require payment by credit card.
• Change of Destination (in case of a stay booked on several campsites): this scenario requires the cancellation of your stay; in turn, you must make a new
booking. Please consult paragraph 5/ Booking Cancellation.
5. Booking Cancellation
NB: Residents of the United Kingdom must refer to the cancellation conditions from our UK agent. For persons other than
those residing in the United Kingdom, please contact your local agency if necessary for the cancellation conditions that
are applied in your particular case.
6. Animals
Animals are allowed on certain campsites (consult each site’s page), but are not included in the price of a Holiday Cheque: a supplement at the rate in force
will be applied on-site.
7. Baby Kit
Certain campsites propose baby kits (cot, high chair, etc.). These kits are not included in the price of your accommodation and will be charged on-site.
CAMPING CHEQUE - GENERAL SALES CONDITIONS

1. The Camping Cheque
1.1 The Camping Cheque is valid one night for 2 persons on a standard pitch (car + caravan or tent, or motor home) + electric hook-up + 1 domestic animal
(if allowed on-site) on the network campsites, and during precise dates.
1.2 The Camping Cheque is a non-transferable exchange coupon, for the exclusive use of the customer having purchased the cheques from an authorised
agent. The Camping Cheque is nominative and may not be used by other campers on the network campsites. Thus, the campsite may refuse the Camping
Cheques if this simple rule is not respected.
1.3 The customer is committed to respect the internal rules and regulations of the campsite, displayed at the reception. In case of non-respect of the above,
the campsite is authorised to proceed with the eviction of the customer, without refunding the booked stay.
1.4 The Tourist Tax
The tourist tax must be paid directly at the campsite. The amount of this tax perceived by the community is variable; it may be on a daily basis, per person
or a fixed amount (or any combination of the above).
2. Loss/ Theft
The Camping Cheque is non-exchangeable and non-refundable in case of loss or theft. In this case, only your personal insurance coverage (if you have this
option) may reimburse your lost or stolen cheques. Please be informed before departure if you have this type of coverage. As soon as you have discovered
the incident, please head for the nearest police station in order to fill out a loss or theft report, insisting on a copy of the document for your insurance provider.
3. Camping Cheque Exchange and Reimbursement Procedure
The Camping Cheque is valid 2 calendar years, clearly indicated on each cheque. Every exchange or reimbursement request must be sent by registered letter
to the following address:

3.1 Reimbursement
Invalid or non-used Camping Cheques may not be reimbursed, with the exception of the following two conditions: death of the Camping Cheque holder, or
his/her spouse (Camping Cheques must be returned to the above-mentioned address by registered letter, with a copy of the death certificate); or in case of
disability of the Camping Cheque holder, or his/her spouse (Camping Cheques must be returned to the above-mentioned address by registered letter, with a
copy of the medical certificate). Administrative costs equalling the current value of 2 Camping Cheques shall be withheld.
3.2 Exchange
Invalid or non-used Camping Cheques may be exchanged according to the following terms and conditions:
• Camping Cheques that have expired 31 December 2007 may be exchanged within a delay of 2 months; that is, until 29 February 2008. After this delay, the
Camping Cheques may no longer be exchanged.
• In case of an increase in the price of the Camping Cheque, you must settle the difference (between the value of the new Camping Cheque and the exchanged
Camping Cheque).
• Administrative costs: in order to simplify this procedure, we shall withhold one Camping Cheque at a value of 14 from the total number of cheques to be
exchanged.
• Gold Card holders are exempt from paying the above-mentioned sums.
In case of a problem whilst on a network campsite during your Camping Cheque or Holiday Cheque stay
Please contact the Camping Cheque / Holiday Cheque European Headquarters as quickly as possible, from the campsite concerned, in order to explain the
situation.
Without respecting this simple rule, complaints may not be treated. We will take the necessary measures by contacting the campsite, in order to
solve the situation in the best way possible.
